Station Lodge is set in an idyllic location of Tulloch, some twenty miles north of Fort William. The Hostel is adjacent to the A86 trunk road, allowing easy access by car.

There is spectacular scenery all around the area and it is worth remembering to bring your camera to capture the stunning beauty of the surrounding countryside.

The hostel is very easy to reach, even using public transport. The obvious choice is the train as the hostel is part of the old station and as such the trains to and from Glasgow, running on the famous West Highland Line, stop right outside!

By Train

Scotrail runs a regular service from Glasgow Queen Street along the West Highland Line. There is also a sleeper service available from London. Click for train timetable details. Car hire available close to Fort William station.

By Road

The roads to Tulloch are a pleasure to drive on, with wonderful views all along the way. Fort William is well signposted with access via the A82 from the North and South. If approaching from the north, Station Lodge is reached 20 miles before Fort William and if approaching from the south, Station Lodge is 20 miles after Fort William. Approximate driving times are one and a half hours from Inverness and two and a half hours from Glasgow.

Rannoch Moor Photo© Island Focus For those travelling by coach, there are good services to Fort William from Glasgow, Inverness and Skye. Further details are available on the Scottish Citylink website. From Fort William it is only a short train journey to reach the hostel.

By Air

The most convenient airports are Inverness (60 miles) and Glasgow (120 miles). Car hire is available at both airports. For taxi transport from Glasgow Airport to the centre of Glasgow for bus or train links, try Glasgow Airport Taxis
